Why A Truck Conversion?

Our 2001 Freightliner FL70
towing 2008 Ford Taurus X

We chose a truck conversion because we required dependable transportation for the six months we are on the road each year.

Our Music Ministry takes us from California to Newfoundland and from the Southwest USA to British Columbia. With our extensive traveling schedule our truck conversion is our home-away-from-home.

We purchased the Freightliner from Bakersfield Truck Center. It was built to our specs in North Carolina and then shipped to Transport Designs in Montoursville, Pennsylvania for the motor home conversion.

Having converted a GMC 4104 bus and used it for 16+ years and 150,000 miles we knew what we wanted and what would work for us.
We ordered a new truck and chassis and a custom built motor home. We didn't have the time or energy left to do the conversion ourselves again, so we opted to have it done professionally. We designed the layout and specified the components we wanted for conversion.

Transport Designs built the entire unit in about four months. As of May 2016 we have 132,000 miles on her with absolutely no problems.
We are very happy with the result.
